KNOTS - LINE TO TERMINAL TACKLE

LOCKED HALF BLOOD KNOT

This simple and strong knot is adequate for tying hooks and swivels to line testing upt to kg breaking strain. It is an especially firm favourite with whiting and snapper anglers.

1. Thread the eye of your hook or swivel and twist the tag and main line together.

2. Complete three to six twists and thread the tag back through the first twist. The heavier your line, the less twists you will use.

3. Pull the line so that the knot begins to form. Do not pull it up tight yet or you will have an unlocked half blood which may slip should you be tying new line to a shiny metal surface.

4. To lock the knot, thread the tag through the open look which has former at the top of the knot.

5. Pull the knot up firmly and the result should be something like this. Should a loop form within the knot, simply pull on the tag until it disappers.
